The purpose of this module is to teach health care providers, clinic staff, as well as administrators and policy makers about the fundamentals of the LGBTQ communities and best practices working with these communities.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The following learning outcomes guide the content of the Introduction to LGBTQ Equity and Inclusion e-learning module. By the end, learners should: 

  • Be able to describe the three concepts that comprise sexual orientation
  • Be able to describe the three concepts that comprise gender identity
  • Be able to state LGBTQ health data
  • Be able to describe 8 best practices working with LGBTQ communities
